Special courses

Since mid-May, when schools are preparing for summer vacation, 5 De Men Art Garden facilities (De Men Art Company Limited) have simultaneously recruited students for 2 special talent courses: Hello summer and Confident Children.

Mr. Tran Huynh Huy Thinh, representative of De Men Art Garden, said that these are two dedicated courses built by the company based on the need for diverse and new experiences for students. Accordingly, with the Hello summer course, children have the opportunity to develop personal skills through studying 8 art subjects at the same time, such as MC kids, model kids, yoga kids, fine arts, vocal music, recorder, dance sport.

Meanwhile, in the Confident Children course, young students are trained in confidence in communication, language development, presentation skills, and speaking in front of a crowd. Children are freed from their bodies, confidently pose in front of the camera, know how to express their faces and walk, grasp knowledge about vocals and music, increase their reflexes and handle situations. In addition, children learn how to play many musical instruments as well as stimulate the development of thinking and creativity in fine arts, arts, etc.

According to Mr. Thinh, the activities at the garden aim to train and develop musical and artistic talents, and life skills for children. In particular, from April 2023, De Men Art Garden will coordinate with Hai Chau District Cultural and Sports Center to build the De Men Kids program - Street Music at APEC Sculpture Garden Park on Sunday evenings, the second week of every month. Although it is an art program for children, the organizer has designed a grand stage with eye-catching sound and lighting systems. On the performance stage, each child shines like a true talent. The message that Mr. Thinh wants to bring to the program, in addition to creating a playground for young talents studying at De Men Art Garden, is also confidence, strength, and creative inspiration.

Bringing her 12-year-old daughter to register for the Hello Summer course at De Men Art Garden, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam (Hai Chau 1 Ward, Hai Chau District) said that it was a reward after a year of hard work and good study. Ms. Tam shared that at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year, Thu Ha - her daughter has set her study goal as the top priority, so she decided to temporarily stop her gifted classes and proactively suggested that if she studies well, the reward she wants to ask her mother is a fun summer gifted course.

To fulfill her child's wish, since the end of April, Ms. Tam has contacted a number of training centers to learn about new courses held during the summer. "When I learned that De Men Art Garden opened a Hello Summer course with many attractive contents, I shared it with Ha and she was excited to register right away. I don't put too much emphasis on academic results, I just want my child to have a healthy learning, playing, and entertaining environment and, most importantly, to be happy and want to go to class," Ms. Thanh Tam shared.

Continuing to enroll in a 3-month music course in 2023 for children aged 4-5, Dream Oasis Music Studio (Son Tra district) is limited to 10 students/course (ages 4-7) and 5 students/course (ages 8-15). Sharing about the limited number of students, guitarist Phan Xuan Tri - who directly teaches the children, said that his goal is to foster and impart musical inspiration and guitar playing skills, especially classical guitar - a subject that requires a higher level of musical appreciation and playing skills.

Although Phan Xuan Tri wants his students to improve, his teaching method is very… artistic. According to him, in order for children to be happy and excited about playing a musical instrument, the first thing teachers and parents must do is create an environment that does not force them. Therefore, in many lessons, he is willing to allow students to stop when they feel stressed and cannot continue playing. Thanks to this gentle and inspiring teaching method, each of his students after 1-2 years of studying has confidently performed on stage.

Twice a year, he organizes the Danang guitar kid concert - Classical guitar music for children so that parents can sit and listen to their children play in a space filled with music and emotions. "I still long for a decent music school for my children, helping to create pure, civilized souls and most of all, their spiritual life is not monotonous and boring", Mr. Tri confided.

Fun is the main thing

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le (Hoa Cuong Bac ward, Hai Chau district) said that her two children are studying modern dance, swimming, and martial arts at the Da Nang Children's Palace. Her daughter - Nguyen Thi Bao Linh, a 7th grader at Tay Son Secondary School, after nearly 1 year of swimming classes, has mastered many swimming positions. Meanwhile, Nguyen Bao Nam - a 3rd grader at Phan Dang Luu Primary School is also enthusiastically participating in two martial arts and swimming classes at the same time. According to Ms. Le, the reason for her children to study at the Da Nang Children's Palace is the guaranteed training quality, spacious space, and reasonable cost. On average, she spends nearly 4 million VND per month on her children's gifted classes and feels that this is worth it.

With the current facilities, Da Nang Children's Palace can train more than 1,000 students at the same time. This summer, the Children's Palace maintains about 600 students regularly studying more than 30 diverse subjects such as modern dance, dancing, singing, chess, table tennis, swimming, MC, martial arts, guitar, zither, painting, aerobics... At the same time, it is expected to open 15 more boarding gifted classes (about 500 students) and regularly enroll more than 100 gifted classes to train about more than 3,000 different study places.

Mr. Nguyen Nhan, Director of Da Nang Children's Palace, said that children aged 4-6 have the ability to learn quickly, suitable for participating in gifted classes and physical development. In addition to encouraging children to improve their observation skills and confidence, the classes are designed to ensure fun, sociability, learning while playing. In particular, during the summer, Da Nang Children's Palace increases performing arts activities, creating many playgrounds for children to have the opportunity to express their talents and be confident in communication. "Through gifted training, we discover and encourage families to let their children participate in specialized gifted classes, contributing to training the next generation of artists for the city such as singers, MCs Nhu Thuy, Dang Giang, Thuy Trang, Thai Binh, Minh Trieu, Hong Minh...

On the other hand, many units and schools in the area have begun to promote the movement of popularizing swimming and preventing drowning for children in the summer. Accordingly, although no specific plan has been issued, the leaders of the Hai Chau District Cultural and Sports Center said that they will continue to maintain free swimming lessons for over 50 disadvantaged children in the locality.

In addition, primary schools are also launching swimming lessons for students from grades 2 to 5 according to the Ministry of Education and Training's program on safe swimming and drowning prevention for primary school students, including basic knowledge on land, practice in water, first aid skills and how to handle dangerous situations. It can be said that in the middle of the summer, in hot weather, in addition to swimming classes at professional swimming centers, free swimming classes always bring laughter and joy to children.
