Ensuring safety for workers' health

Responding to the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health in 2025 (from May 1 to 31), functional agencies, units, localities and enterprises have stepped up propaganda, training and launched practical emulation movements. The overarching goal is to prevent risks, accidents and occupational diseases, gradually build a culture of safety at work, and protect the health and rights of workers.

For many years, Universal Alloy Corporation Vietnam Co., Ltd. (High-Tech Park) has always ensured good occupational safety and hygiene. Every year, the company builds a production plan focusing on ensuring production and business safety. According to the Chairman of the Company's Trade Union, Luu Duc Hung, with nearly 1,040 employees, the company determines that occupational safety is not only a legal obligation but also a responsibility and a driving force for sustainable business development.

The company organizes regular health check-ups for employees. In particular, during the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health, the company increases the frequency of internal inspections, organizes occupational safety and health propaganda, conducts periodic occupational safety and health training, provides training on chemical use and conducts chemical incident response drills.

At Liwayway Da Nang Food Industry Co., Ltd., workers are fully equipped with protective gear, given safety instructions, and strictly carry out safety checks before each shift. According to Vice President of the Company's Trade Union Trinh Thi Kim Binh, the company launched a month of action on occupational safety and hygiene with many practical activities such as fire prevention and fighting drills for nearly 300 workers; periodic machine safety checks; and organizing training courses on occupational safety for new workers.

In addition, many businesses integrate occupational safety and health into their sustainable development goals. Competition programs such as “Safe Labor - High Productivity” or “Creative Safety Corner” arouse a sense of responsibility and creativity among workers, helping to reduce risks.

With the theme "Strengthening assessment, identifying risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace", the 2025 Occupational Safety and Hygiene Action Month is a peak period of propaganda, raising awareness and perception of employers, employees in agencies, units, enterprises and people in the city about implementing occupational safety and hygiene work. Implementing the plan of the City People's Committee, enterprises have stepped up the implementation of specific solutions and action programs to prevent occupational accidents and diseases, build a culture of occupational safety, etc.

Chairman of the Trade Union of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Nguyen Thanh Trung said that the trade union innovates communication activities on occupational safety and hygiene; guides grassroots trade unions to count their workforce and review and improve guidelines for organizing activities of occupational safety and hygiene workers' networks in enterprises. At the same time, launch the "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene" movement in enterprises; give gifts to victims, families of victims of occupational accidents, occupational diseases, and poor workers in difficult circumstances.

Vice President of the City Labor Federation Le Van Dai said that implementing the breakthrough of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union is "Promoting dialogue and collective bargaining, focusing on working hours and occupational safety and hygiene", trade unions at all levels strengthen the capacity of dialogue and collective bargaining on occupational safety and hygiene for the staff working in safety work, support grassroots trade unions to promote the implementation of dialogue and collective bargaining tasks at the grassroots level in conjunction with occupational safety work and specific industries, occupations and jobs; pay attention to improving the quality of workers' meals; ensure occupational safety, training, prevent occupational accidents and diseases, and build a safe and friendly working environment.
