Integrated English program students receive Pearson Edexcel certificates with high results

Student Bui Khoi Nguyen achieved the highest primary school math score in the world and Le Dinh Trung Hieu, achieved the highest achievement in Vietnam in both math and science, were honored at the certificate award ceremony.

According to EMG Education, these are students of the integrated English program in grades 5, 9 and 11 in the 2022-2023 school year who participated in the Pearson Edexcel certification exam in 2023 and achieved high results.

As a result, in math, more than 86% of primary school students, 70% of secondary school students and 84% of high school students achieved excellent results. In science, more than 96% of secondary school students achieved satisfactory results or higher; 99% of high school students achieved satisfactory results or higher. And 100% of high school students achieved satisfactory results or higher in English.

In particular, Vietnamese students' mathematical ability shows its superiority when 84% of high school students achieve excellent scores (this rate for global students is 54%). Of which, the number of students achieving absolute scores (score 9) is 31%, this rate for students in the world is only 19%.

At the ceremony, EMG Education honored and awarded Bui Khoi Nguyen, a 5th grade student at An Binh Primary School (Thu Duc City), who achieved the highest primary math score in the world among 4,200 students taking the exam, and Le Dinh Trung Hieu, a student at Saigon Practice High School (District 5), who achieved the highest achievement in Vietnam in both math and science.

In addition, EMG Education also awarded 9 students with Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards (students with the highest scores in Vietnam in each subject) and 24 students with Excellence Awards, excellent scores for all 3 subjects: math, English and science.

Thereby proving the quality of the integrated English program and the right direction of the Ho Chi Minh City education sector in promoting the improvement of English proficiency and subjects taught in English. At the same time, students are encouraged to take international certification exams as a necessary preparation for future study and work plans."
