The project that officially won the third prize of REGENERON ISEF 2023 is the project "Pharmacological effects on the central nervous system of essential oils of the fruit and leaves of the mulberry tree based on pharmacological networks" in the field of computational biology and bioinformatics (CBIO) by two students Nguyen Thi Mai Anh and Nguyen Binh Giang, students of the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences , University of Natural Sciences (Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

The project that won the third prize in the special award presented by the US Agency for International Development was the project "A four-legged robot model to support search and rescue of people in landslide areas" by Le Minh Duc and Le Nguyen Trung Kien, students of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (HCMC).
REGENERON ISEF 2023 will be held in Dallas (USA) from May 14 to 19. There are 61 countries/territories with 1,302 participating projects and 1,600 participating students. Vietnam has 7 participating projects and is one of 33 countries/territories with award-winning projects of the competition.
The Ministry of Education and Training also said that the Organizing Committee of REGENERON ISEF 2023 highly appreciated Vietnam's widespread promotion of scientific research and the organization of an annual science and technology competition for high school students, with thousands of students participating. This is an important premise for Vietnam to gradually improve the quality of scientific research in general and national and international competition projects in particular.
The project of Le Minh Duc and Le Nguyen Trung Kien, students of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (HCMC), received third prize in the special award presented by the US Agency for International Development.
The Vietnamese student delegation fully and actively participated in the activities of REGENERON ISEF 2023 directly in Dallas according to the program of the Organizing Committee of REGENERON ISEF 2023, contributing to the overall success of the competition, which was well received by international friends.
REGENERON ISEF for high school students is an annual competition that has been held since 1952. To date, it is the largest annual international science and technology competition for high school students (grades 9-12). Each year, approximately 1,800 high school students from approximately 80 countries and territories around the world participate in presenting research results in 22 fields of the competition.
To select 7 projects to participate in REGENERON ISEF 2023 from 143 projects participating in the National Science and Technology Competition for high school students in the 2022-2023 school year, tens of thousands of projects were implemented in schools; of which, more than 5,000 projects participated in the provincial/municipal science and technology competition.
