Phu Giao District Red Cross: Many activities to support people and students in difficult circumstances

As part of a series of activities in response to the Humanitarian Month 2025, the Phu Giao District Red Cross Society has just awarded 20 scholarships, each worth 2.2 million VND (including 2 million VND in cash and gifts worth 200,000 VND), to 20 students in difficult circumstances who have overcome difficulties in studying; and presented gifts to 180 households in difficult circumstances.

The total cost of scholarships and gifts this time is 134 million VND, supported by the Red Cross Association from units and benefactors in the district, to contribute to sharing and supporting people and students in difficult circumstances to have more conditions to improve and rise up in life.

Responding to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide", the Phu Giao District Red Cross Association has just coordinated to give Red Cross houses to people with difficult housing circumstances in An Thai commune.

Thai, with an area of ​​65 square meters, was built with a total cost of more than 118.5 million VND. Of which, the District Red Cross Society supported 80 million VND; the rest was mobilized by the Commune Red Cross Society from benefactors and additional contributions from family members.
