The most special Vocational Education Teachers' Conference ever

(NLDO) - More than 150 teachers from 49 educational institutions will compete in the 2025 City-level Vocational Education Teachers' Competition.

On the afternoon of November 3, the 2025 City-level Vocational Education Teachers' Conference officially opened at the College of Transport (Trung My Tay Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

This year's teaching conference marked a special milestone when for the first time it had a record number of teachers and a record scale of organization.

The 2025 City-level Vocational Education Teachers' Conference attracted more than 150 teachers to participate.

Ms. Truong Hai Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, asked teachers participating in the teaching conference to promote a sense of responsibility, considering this an opportunity to share, learn and spread good experiences and effective teaching methods.

In her opening speech, Ms. Truong Hai Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that this was the first teaching competition held after Ho Chi Minh City merged with 3 provinces and expanded its administrative boundaries. The competition attracted 151 teachers from 49 vocational training institutions in the new city to compete.

"This creates the largest scale ever, demonstrating regional connectivity and unity in developing the vocational education system of the extended Southeast region, contributing to spreading the spirit of innovation, integration and sustainable development throughout the industry," said Ms. Thanh.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Ho Chi Minh City's vocational education and training sector has achieved many positive results. Training institutions have proactively innovated their programs and teaching methods towards practice and application, strengthened the connection between businesses and schools, developed high-quality professions, and expanded lifelong learning opportunities for workers. The rate of students having jobs after graduation is increasing; many flexible and creative training models have been effectively implemented.

Teachers gathered to listen to the dissemination of the regulations of the teaching conference.

The teaching conference is an important professional activity, of profound significance to teachers working at vocational education institutions in Ho Chi Minh City.

"Organizing the teaching conference will contribute to affirming the position and role of vocational education teachers in the career of developing high-quality human resources; at the same time, promoting innovation and creativity in teaching and learning, linking training with the needs of businesses and the labor market.

This year's lecture festival is divided into 4 sub-committees, organized at 3 locations: College of Transport, Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College and Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture and Arts. The competition rounds will begin on November 4.
