Vietnam Women's Union visits and congratulates Buddha's Birthday 2024

BTO-On the afternoon of May 21, on the occasion of the 2024 Buddha's Birthday (Buddhist calendar 2568), the Central Working Group of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) led by Ms. Ton Ngoc Hanh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union, visited and congratulated dignitaries and officials of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Binh Thuan province.

Also attending were Ms. Le Thi Hai Yen - President of the Provincial Women's Union, representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee and officials of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Provincial Women's Union.

On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Ton Ngoc Hanh sent to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Binh Thuan province and personally Most Venerable Thich Minh Nhat - Member of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province, along with monks, nuns, and Buddhists wishes for good health, peace of mind and body, to celebrate the 2024 Buddha's Birthday with joy and happiness, and to always complete Buddhist work well.

The Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union said: In recent times, the Women's Union at all levels has been active and proactive in many activities to care for members and religious women; encouraging and supporting members to strive to improve and actively contribute to the development of the locality. At the same time, she thanked the attention of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Binh Thuan province for having many programs to coordinate with the Provincial Women's Union in implementing social security work, mobilizing members and women to well implement the policies and laws of the State, living a "good life, good religion". As well as having educational programs for children of Buddhist families to join hands to build the great national unity bloc. Ms. Ton Ngoc Hanh believes that in the coming time, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Binh Thuan province will continue to promote its prestige and strengths, contributing to the development of the province's economy and taking care of the people's lives better and better.

Most Venerable Thich Minh Nhat respectfully thanked the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Provincial Women's Union for visiting and congratulating the 2024 Buddha's Birthday. He highly appreciated the contributions of Buddhist nuns and female Buddhists across the country, as well as in the province, to the development of the country and the province in recent times. At the same time, he affirmed that the Executive Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha will continue to mobilize monks, nuns and Buddhists to promote the tradition of patriotism, fulfill the responsibilities of monks and nuns through practical actions, comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws, contributing to building a more prosperous and beautiful homeland and country.

Most Venerable Thich Minh Nhat thanked the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Provincial Women's Union for visiting and congratulating the 2024 Buddha's Birthday.

On this occasion, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to two outstanding female Buddhist followers of the province, Venerable Thich Nu Nhu Hai (Phap Bao Pagoda) and Venerable Thich Nu Dieu Minh (Phuoc Thien Pagoda).
