On November 13, the Ambassador worked with the Brazilian Federal Congress and the state of Para, chaired by Senator Humberto Costa, to discuss bilateral cooperation priorities and enhance coordination at multilateral forums, especially in responding to climate change and promoting climate justice.
The two sides shared legislative experience, emphasized the role of parliaments in monitoring the implementation of climate commitments and agreed to strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation to contribute a common voice at international mechanisms.
The meeting contributed to strengthening the Vietnam-Brazil parliamentary relationship and opening up new directions for cooperation in climate, social and sustainable development initiatives.

The four sessions focused on: (i) The urgency of adaptation and the role of parliamentarians in mobilizing and monitoring climate finance; (ii) the need to improve legislation and soon operationalize the Loss and Damage Fund; (iii) methane reduction as the fastest and most effective measure in the short term; (iv) and reducing the inequitable impacts of climate change on women and girls through gender mainstreaming in National Adaptation Plans (NAPs)/Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and empowering women and developing women's leadership.
The conference reaffirms the indispensable role of parliaments in ensuring effective and equitable climate action.

On the sidelines of the Conference, the Ambassador had bilateral meetings with delegations from Cambodia, China, the Marshall Islands and internationally to exchange information, enhance understanding and promote parliamentary cooperation in the field of climate.

On November 15, the Ambassador, together with the working delegation of the Department of Climate Change ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ) and representatives of the Vietnam Youth Action Network, attended the closing session of SB63 within the framework of COP30.
This is a meeting for countries to discuss important technical issues such as monitoring, reporting, verification, technology transfer and implementation of the Paris Agreement in the new phase.
The working atmosphere was urgent, reflected in bilateral consultations and group discussions on the sidelines. The delegation’s active participation helped to keep up to date with the negotiation process, protect Vietnam’s interests, and promote international cooperation in fair and substantive climate action.
