Brazilian President affirms special importance to relations with Vietnam

On the morning of October 26, on the occasion of the 47th ASEAN Summit and related conferences in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Brazilian President Lula da Silva.

With the desire and determination to further deepen the Vietnam-Brazil Strategic Partnership, President Lula da Silva stated that Brazil is accelerating internal procedures to soon have an official document recognizing Vietnam's Market Economy Status.

The two leaders agreed to continue consultations and close coordination to jointly enhance the role and voice of developing countries, making positive contributions to peace, stability, cooperation, and inclusive and sustainable development in both regions as well as globally.
