On the afternoon of December 12th, in Hanoi, the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army held a meeting of the General Political Department's Steering Committee; providing feedback on draft documents for the Conference summarizing Party and political work in 2025 and draft documents for the Conference summarizing the tasks of the General Political Department in 2025.

General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, and Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, presided over and delivered a speech.

Accordingly, the draft report summarizing Party and political work in 2025 was developed based on a compilation of reports from agencies and units throughout the army, with added content on scientific development, innovation, and digital transformation. The 2026 plan is designed to streamline and reduce the number of conferences, increase the proportion of online events, and ensure practicality, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.

General Nguyen Trong Nghia requested that agencies finalize draft documents in a concise, clear, and easy-to-understand manner; clearly state objectives and solutions; ensure feasibility, consistency, and uniformity with higher-level regulations; focus on ensuring proper authority, format, and presentation techniques; strengthen standardization and unification of presentation templates for documents and materials; organize conferences in a practical and effective manner; thoroughly implement cost-saving measures and combat waste; conduct conferences focusing on concise and relevant discussions and speeches; and increase the use of online conferences in line with the work program.

Continue to simplify and eliminate outdated administrative procedures; implement decentralization and delegation of authority; assign tasks according to the principle of assigning one task to only one person; adhere to the "6 clear" motto (clear person, clear task, clear time, clear responsibility, clear authority, clear product); promote the processing of administrative procedures in the digital environment and digitize documents; strengthen training and development in digital skills and leadership and management skills.
