On October 17th, the Vietnamese Embassy in Brazil, in coordination with the Association of Spouses of Heads of Diplomatic Missions in Brasilia, organized a friendly gathering themed "President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnamese Women and the Spirit of International Solidarity," to commemorate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890) and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930).
According to the VNA correspondent in South America, speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Bui Van Nghi extended his congratulations to the wives of Ambassadors and international friends attending the event, and affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh 's thoughts on women and international solidarity are not only historical values but also carry profound contemporary significance.
Today, those values continue to be upheld and strongly promoted, serving as a driving force for Vietnam's integration, development, and positive contribution to peace and cooperation in the region and the world.

Ambassador Bui Van Nghi also expressed his hope that the friendship between Vietnam and other countries, along with the close ties among the spouses of members of the diplomatic community in Brasilia, will continue to be strengthened and sustainably developed in the future.
As part of the meeting, the Vietnamese Embassy organized an exhibition of images of President Ho Chi Minh, introducing the landscapes, people, and culture of Vietnam to international friends.
The attending ladies also had the opportunity to experience a traditional spring roll making class, participate in artistic flower arranging, and receive souvenirs consisting of processed agricultural products from businesses started and developed by women, reflecting the distinct Vietnamese identity.
The atmosphere of the meeting was warm, friendly, and open, leaving many beautiful impressions of Vietnam, its people, and culture in the hearts of international friends.
The President of the Association of Spouses of Heads of Diplomatic Missions in Brazil, Mrs. Annet Baingana, wife of the Rwandan Ambassador, expressed admiration for the resilience, compassion, and extraordinary strength of Vietnamese women, who are both capable, creative, strong, and full of character in life.
According to Ms. Baingana, women – regardless of their country – can be a source of inspiration and a link connecting peace and friendship between nations.
