With the high-tech model of growing gerbera daisies, Mr. Bui Van Kha - Director of Dong Thap Flower Cooperative (Dan Phuong Commune, Dan Phuong District) is one of 18 "Outstanding Capital Farmers" honored by the Hanoi Farmers' Association in 2023. This is also a typical agricultural digital transformation model of the Dan Phuong District Farmers' Association.

Mr. Kha said: Dong Thap Flower Cooperative is growing over 25 hectares of gerbera daisies. Cooperative members grow flowers in greenhouses and net houses, with irrigation systems and technical processes, thus reducing production costs. On average, each hectare of gerbera daisies using high technology has an economic value of 500 million VND, 2-3 times higher than the traditional flower growing area. Notably, Dong Thap gerbera daisies were recognized by the Hanoi People's Committee as a 3-star OCOP product in February 2023.

Up to now, the Cooperative has invested in building 6 greenhouses and net houses with a total area of about 10,000m2 to grow sprouts. Vegetables are produced on a synchronous substrate line, closely monitored from planting to harvesting.

"Since the beginning of production, the Cooperative has been steadfast in its organic cultivation methods. To ensure the quality and productivity of sprouts, the Cooperative has signed contracts with seed suppliers, with commitments on the germination rate of seeds. Along with that, Cooperative members strictly adhere to the criteria in the clean production process, from seed selection, substrate cleaning to irrigation systems and vegetable care" - Ms. Ha shared.

With 6 greenhouses for growing sprouts, Thanh Ha Agricultural Production and Service Cooperative supplies the market with over 200 tons of various sprouts each year, earning about 4 billion VND in revenue. The Cooperative creates regular jobs with a good income for dozens of local workers.

From raising chickens, Mr. Ngoc has a revenue of tens of billions of VND each year. In 2022, Mr. Hoang Manh Ngoc was honored by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association as an Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer.

Mr. Ngoc shared that in order for the farm to operate effectively, he has applied 4.0 technology to control the temperature, food and water in the barn, and the temperature of the hatchery.
