Registration for 5km and 10km VnExpress Marathon Nha Trang closes today

The two shortest distances of VnExpress Marathon Nha Trang 2023 will close at 11:59 p.m. on June 21 due to the full number of runners.

The organizers closed the gate earlier than expected to ensure safety on race day, balance the number of items and provide the best competition conditions for runners. Those who want to participate in these two distances only have today to register. The current price for the 5km distance is 590,000 VND, 10km is 920,000 VND.

The 5 and 10km distances are considered suitable for most beginners, so they attract a large number of registrations. The race is expected to be on Tran Phu coastal road. Runners can explore the beauty of the Central tourist paradise, watching the beach and sunrise from many angles.

The remaining distances of 21 and 42km will continue to sell tickets in the Regular phase until June 30. The prices are 1.1 million VND and 1.3 million VND respectively. After June 30, the ticket prices will increase to 1.3 and 1.5 million VND. The registration portal will close if the number of athletes is sufficient. Previously, in just three weeks of opening, the tournament had 6,000 registrations.

VM Nha Trang 2023 kicks off on August 13. In the second time in the tourist paradise of Nha Trang, the race is expected to have many improvements to refresh the runner experience. Participants will be able to run on the coastal route, admire the poetic beauty of the city and the vibrant life of the coastal people. In 2022, 8,500 runners participated in the race, running on Tran Phu and Pham Van Dong streets in the cool late summer weather. Runners also challenged themselves on the majestic Luong Son pass with a panoramic view of the bay.

Similar to VM Quy Nhon 2023, the upcoming tournament will apply a chain of interconnected facilities including water stations, medical stations, and toilets, arranged more densely. A new system of signs will be placed at turns and turning points to direct athletes.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee considers VnExpress Marathon Nha Trang a major sporting event, promoting the development of local tourism, hoping to turn the tournament into an international event. The province has modern tourism infrastructure with a large number of rooms, many services, utilities and a system of famous tourist attractions, capable of serving more than 10,000 runners and their families and friends. The locality plans to combine Nha Trang's unique tourism and culinary tours with the marathon event to promote its image.
