More than 1 million candidates registered for the 2025 high school graduation exam

The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced information about online registration for the 2025 high school graduation exam. As of 5:00 p.m. on April 28, the total number of candidates registered for the exam was 1,165,289.

The Ministry of Education and Training announced that 5 p.m. today (April 28) is the deadline for registration for the 2025 high school graduation exam. Accordingly, as of 5 p.m. on April 28, the total number of candidates registered for the exam was 1,165,289. Of which, 1,122,507 were candidates for the 12 GeneralEducation Programs 2018 (accounting for 96.33%); 42,782 were independent candidates (accounting for 3.67%).

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26 and 27. On June 25, candidates will go to the exam location on the notice to complete the exam registration procedures. This year's exam will have 2 exam papers for candidates to take, following the 2006 General Education Program and the 2018 General Education Program.

From 2025, candidates studying the 2018 General Education Program taking the high school graduation exam will only take 4 subjects, including 2 compulsory subjects (Literature, Mathematics) and 2 optional subjects (among the remaining subjects studied in grade 12 including: Foreign Language, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology.

The Literature exam will be in essay format with a duration of 120 minutes. The exam consists of 2 parts: Reading (4 points) and Writing (6 points).

The remaining subjects will be tested in multiple-choice format, with Math taking 90 minutes and the remaining subjects taking 50 minutes.
