Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training organizes teacher recruitment from more than 10,000 candidates in the form of practice.

These candidates will take part in a professional exam to test their professional and teaching abilities through practice over the course of 2 days, September 27-28.
Teacher recruitment exam content
In the second round of teacher recruitment on September 27-28, 10,175 candidates will present their knowledge and illustrate their professional skills and answer questions from the examination and assessment committee members (if any) within 15 minutes.
Mr. Tong Phuoc Loc, Head of the Department of Personnel Organization of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, said that the specific requirements in this round are that candidates state the educational content and the requirements of the problem. Determine the required levels of each knowledge unit related to the content of the problem stated in the exam to develop teaching plans and design teaching activities. Form what qualities and abilities in students and state the techniques, methods, and teaching aids that will be used.
Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training organized the second round of teacher recruitment in the form of practice at 6 testing locations for each level of education, specifically;
- Trung Vuong High School (Sai Gon ward): Preschool teacher.
- Hung Vuong High School (Cho Lon Ward): Primary school teacher.
- Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School (Sai Gon ward): Secondary, high school and vocational education teachers of social subjects and math.
- Gia Dinh High School (Thanh My Tay Ward): Middle School, High School and Continuing Education teachers of natural subjects, physical education and national defense education.
- Marie Curie High School (Xuan Hoa Ward): Primary and secondary school teachers of information technology, music, fine arts, technology, economic and legal education, and civic education.
- Nguyen Huu Tho High School (Xom Chieu Ward): Foreign language teacher.
Teacher recruitment conditions
The Department of Education and Training stipulates that candidates who pass the teacher recruitment exam must meet the following conditions: Have a score of 50 points or higher in round 2; Have a higher score in round 2 plus priority points (if any) in order from highest to lowest in the recruitment quota of each job position.
In case there are 2 or more people with the same practical score plus priority score (if any) in the final quota of the job position to be recruited, the Director of the Department of Education and Training will decide the successful candidate.
In case of registering for 2 wishes but not being accepted in wish 1, the second wish will be considered if the job position registered in wish 2 still has recruitment quota after considering all wishes in wish 1 (including considering the wishes of people with lower admission results according to regulations).
This year, Ho Chi Minh City will recruit more than 6,000 teachers for all levels of education.

In case a job position still has recruitment quotas after considering 2 wishes, based on the exam results, the Examination Council reports to the Director of the Department of Education and Training to decide to recruit the person whose recruitment results are immediately lower than the recruitment results of the successful candidate in the job position at another unit but with the same standards and conditions of the job position at the unit with recruitment quotas, the same Examination Council, the same round 2 exam format and the same exam questions.
The results of the teacher recruitment are expected to be announced in early October.
Accordingly, in the teacher recruitment plan for the 2025-2026 school year, for affiliated high schools, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will recruit 671 teachers. Of which:
- Region 1 (old Ho Chi Minh City) 460 teachers.
- Region 2 (former Binh Duong province) 157 teachers.
- Region 3 (former Ba Ria-Vung Tau province) 54 teachers.
For public service units under the People's Committees of wards, communes and special zones, the Department of Education and Training has compiled recruitment needs based on the number of employees allocated to public schools and the recruitment needs are 5,726 teachers. Of which, preschool is 615 teachers, primary school 2,040, secondary school 3,071. Specifically:
- Region 1 needs to recruit 3,089 teachers.
- Region 2 (former Binh Duong province) recruits 1,990 teachers.
- Region 3 (former Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) is recruiting 647 teachers.
Notes when attending round 2 of teacher recruitment
- Candidates need to bring:
- Original CCCD or other identification documents with photo (in case of lost ID card/CCCD).
- Original 2 application forms (with photo and signature stating full name).
- Pens and other items are allowed in the exam room according to regulations.
- Musical instruments, paintings (for music and fine arts), textbooks of the 2018 General Education Program (primary school: grades 3, 4; secondary school: grades 6, 7, 8; high school: grades 10, 11).
- Related documents.
- Candidates are not allowed to bring into the examination room : Mobile phones, recording devices, cameras, computers, technical devices for receiving and transmitting information, data backup devices, other information storage and transmission devices, and papers and documents not related to the examination content.
- Competition attire : Female: Traditional Ao Dai; Male: Shirt, trousers. For the position of physical education teacher and the position of national defense and security education teacher, wear professional attire according to regulations.
