The program takes place over 4 days (from April 21 to 24), and is expected to screen for early detection of congenital heart disease for more than 10,300 children in the communes of Te Lo, Trung Nguyen, Dong Van, Dong Cuong and Nguyet Duc (Yen Lac) and children under 16 years old who are children of poor and near-poor households, social protection beneficiaries, children of war invalids and martyrs who need screening for congenital heart disease in the whole province.

Through the program, children and parents are advised on how to take care of their health in general and their cardiovascular health in particular. In cases where children are suspected of having cardiovascular diseases, they will be examined and have a free heart ultrasound by cardiologists to determine the disease and prescribe surgery or appropriate treatment. Children who are indicated for surgery will be guided by the Provincial Children's Fund to complete the application to receive financial support for surgery according to regulations.
