At the end of August 2025, Honda Vietnam (HVN) revealed that it would launch 3 different new models at the Biker Rally event in Da Lat. One of them is the new version of the small-displacement manual clutch Honda Winner X. And it seems that this new model will be called Honda Winner R, if according to the images and videos that Honda has just released.

In both Honda's images and videos, the new R logo is emphasized by the company. In addition, from the only revealed image, after adjusting the brightness, you can clearly see the Winner R lettering on the side of the vehicle. From this image, it can also be seen that the Winner R is still based on the current Winner X platform with similar clocks and "legs".

However, from Honda's video, it is also clear that the car has new LED headlights with 2 rectangular bulbs in the center, next to a pair of diagonal LED positioning strips. This change may lead to a redesigned bodywork - especially on the two sides of the fairing. In addition, it seems that the LED taillights have also been modified, although they still look similar to the current Winner X.

The last time Honda gave a major upgrade to the Winner X in Vietnam was in 2023 with new 5-spoke Y-spoke rims instead of 6-spoke ones, the license plate light cluster was also changed, the ABS reading ring was integrated into the brake disc and the 2-way anti-slip pot.

The vehicle still has a single-cylinder, DOHC, 149cc, liquid-cooled engine. This machine produces a maximum capacity of 15.6 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 13.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm through a 6-speed gearbox. It is expected that the Winner R will still inherit these equipment.
