Press conference on the organization of the 9th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lam Dong province

(LĐ online) - On the morning of August 9, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications to hold a press conference to prepare for the 9th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024 - 2029.

Comrade Pham Trieu - Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee expressed his hope to receive attention and coordination in propaganda from press agencies about the Congress to create a widespread effect.

The conference was chaired by Comrade Pham Trieu - Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Director of the Department of Information and Communications Huynh Minh Hai; with the participation of leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, central and local press agencies.

With the Congress theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Consensus - Aspiration - Development", the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress is expected to take place in 2 days from August 15 - 16, 2024. This is an important political event of the province, attracting the attention of many people from all walks of life.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province Pham Trieu emphasized: In general, up to now, the preparation work for the 9th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lam Dong province for the 2024-2029 term has received the attention, direction and regular guidance of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the close coordination and support of the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments and branches of the province. The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lam Dong province has proactively and actively implemented the work in a focused and urgent manner, ensuring the content, requirements and progress according to the directives and instructions of the Central Government, the province and according to the set plan. Up to now, the whole province has 785 works, products and tasks to welcome the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the province for the 2024-2029 term, implemented by all levels, branches and people of all walks of life, worth more than 290 billion VND.

Director of the Department of Information and Communications Huynh Minh Hai requested the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to provide information widely to the press to contribute to the success of the Congress.

It is known that the congress is expected to welcome 440 delegates; of which 320 are official delegates representing social classes, strata, ethnic groups, religions... in the province. There are 83 female delegates, accounting for 25.9%; 105 non-Party delegates, accounting for 32.8%; 80 ethnic minority delegates, accounting for 25%; 97 religious followers, accounting for 30.3%; 29 economic sectors delegates, accounting for 9.1%; 97 full-time Front officials at all levels, accounting for 30.3%. There are 25 young delegates, accounting for 7.93%; the oldest delegate is 94 years old; the youngest delegate is 28 years old.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Duong Anh Ngu reported on the emulation results to welcome the congress.

During the congress, as well as before and after the congress, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province hopes to receive the cooperation of central and local news agencies and newspapers to promote the propaganda of response activities, emulation movements, and key contents of the congress to create widespread influence, contributing to the success of the congress.
