Meeting of Provincial Party Committee Office staff before April 30, 1975

DTO - On the afternoon of April 25, at the Xeo Quit relic site (Cao Lanh district), the Provincial Party Committee Office held a meeting for officials of the Provincial Party Committee Office before April 30, 1975.

Attending the meeting were comrade Phan Van Thang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Secretary of the Party Committee of the provincial Party agencies; comrade Tran Tri Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; representatives of specialized agencies advising and assisting the Provincial Party Committee; Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Standing Committee of Cao Lanh District Party Committee and more than 100 delegates who were former leaders and officials of the Provincial Party Committee Office through the periods.

At the meeting, delegates watched a documentary about the Xeo Quit relic site - the place chosen by the Kien Phong Provincial Party Committee (now Dong Thap Province) as a base to lead the revolution in the period of 1960 - 1975, joining hands with the whole country to successfully carry out the resistance war against the US to save the country. With the protection and shelter of the people, the Xeo Quit base - "the base of the people's hearts" kept the secret and safe for the revolutionary forces until the day the resistance war was successful and the country was completely liberated. Today, the Xeo Quit relic site is not only one of the important national historical and cultural relics of the province but also a "Red Address"educating revolutionary traditions for today's and future generations.

In addition, delegates listened to representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism present detailed models and progress of the construction of the Xeo Quit Relic Site's Headquarters and Exhibition Center, expected to be completed in August 2025.

In the warm atmosphere of the meeting, former cadres of the Provincial Party Committee Office before April 30, 1975 recalled their working memories; shared happy and sad stories during the resistance war. At the same time, they expressed their hope and belief that the current generation of cadres of the Provincial Party Committee Office will always strive to complete their advisory work and serve the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, contributing to building Dong Thap province to become more and more prosperous.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen The Hong Trung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office sent his regards and best wishes to the former leaders and officials of the Provincial Party Committee Office through the periods. At the same time, he affirmed that meeting and listening to the sincere and profound sharing of the former officials of the Provincial Party Committee Office before April 30, 1975, helped the staff of the Provincial Party Committee Office today to be more impressed by the will, revolutionary spirit, courage and absolute loyalty to the Party and the People. Continuing to preserve and promote the fine traditions of previous generations. Comrade Nguyen The Hong Trung expressed his determination, together with the collective of the Provincial Party Committee Office today, to uphold the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, creativity and complete all assigned tasks well, especially serving the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, contributing to ensuring unified and consistent leadership throughout the entire Provincial Party Committee.
