Overview of the Conference
The role of Long An International Port in logistics development in the Southeast region and Mekong Delta
Long An International Port located in Tan Tap commune, invested by Dongtam Group, is a key project in the logistics development orientation of the region. From a saline land, difficult to develop agriculture and heavily affected by war, this place has become an important center for receiving, loading and unloading and transiting goods.
Currently, the port has 7 wharves with a total length of 1,670 meters, receiving ships with a capacity of up to 70,000 DWT. According to the development orientation, the port will expand to 9 wharves, increasing the capacity to receive ships to over 100,000 DWT, with an expected operating capacity of 3 million TEU and 10 million tons of general cargo per year.
Long An International Port not only contributes to reducing the load on the port system in Ho Chi Minh City but also optimizes logistics costs for businesses in the Mekong Delta. This is an important advantage to help businesses expand export markets and increase their participation in the global value chain.

The Port of Kobe is now an important logistics hub for the Kansai region, handling approximately 2.7 million TEUs per year.
