Fire prevention and rescue training is the foundation of sustainable development.

(DN) - Thac Mo Hydropower Joint Stock Company (TMP) has just organized a Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Training Course (PCCC&CNCH); practicing fire fighting and rescue plans periodically in 2025. The training course was directly instructed by the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department - Dong Nai Provincial Police at the Hall of Residential Area B (Phuoc Long Ward, Dong Nai Province) and online at the Ho Chi Minh City bridge, with the participation of all officers and employees of the company.

TMP officers and employees participated in the training program, focusing on the following contents: disseminating new legal regulations on fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue; instructing on skills to recognize and handle fire and explosion situations, skills to use on-site fire fighting equipment, and safe escape when an incident occurs. Officers of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department - Dong Nai Provincial Police shared many practical experiences, analyzed fire and explosion situations that had occurred in the area, helping trainees grasp emergency handling procedures effectively and safely.

Speaking at the training session, Deputy General Director of Thac Mo Hydropower Joint Stock Company Nguyen Hung Luong emphasized: “The nature of the operation of power plants always poses a high risk of fire and explosion. Organizing regular fire prevention and rescue training and drills is a mandatory requirement to ensure the safety of people, equipment and maintain the stability of the national power system. The training session is an opportunity for TMP employees to raise awareness, practice skills and be ready to respond in all emergency situations.”

The program continued with a fire fighting and rescue practice at Thac Mo Solar Power Plant. Participating in the drill was the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of the facility consisting of 54 members from the company's units. The hypothetical situation occurred at battery yard No. 6, due to carelessness when using an open flame, a dry grass fire broke out and quickly spread, threatening the surrounding equipment area.

As soon as the fire alarm signal is received, the company's Fire Prevention and Rescue Team immediately deploys on-site forces and equipment such as: operating the fire water system, using mobile pumps, hoses, powder extinguishers and CO₂ extinguishers to put out the fire, prevent the fire from spreading and organize rescue and relocation of assets.

TMP's 2025 Fire Prevention and Rescue Training and Drill Course was a great success, achieving the set goals in both content and training spirit. Through the program, the company's employees were able to consolidate their professional knowledge and practice practical response skills, thereby improving their capacity to ensure safety in work and production.

At the end of the training course, TMP once again affirmed its strong commitment to building a safe, proactive and sustainable working environment, contributing to protecting people and property and ensuring continuous and stable power supply for the national power system.
