Hung Yen invests deeply in transport infrastructure, creating a new look

Many key traffic routes have been started and upgraded, opening up space and driving force for Hung Yen to develop quickly and sustainably.

Key traffic works with strategic vision not only contribute to the development of Hung Yen 's traffic infrastructure in a synchronous and modern direction but also act as a "lever" to help the locality create a new appearance and new position.

At the end of October, in Thai Binh ward, Hung Yen province started the project of the road from Thai Binh ward to Hung Ha commune connecting Pho Hien ward. The project has a total investment of more than 4,900 billion VND. This is a key traffic project of special significance for the development of local infrastructure and economy, connecting the two largest urban centers of Hung Yen, Thai Binh ward and Pho Hien ward.

Hung Yen started construction of the road from Thai Binh ward to Hung Ha commune connecting with Pho Hien ward.

The route starts at the intersection between the entrance to TBS Song Tra Industrial Park and National Highway 10 (in Thai Binh Ward, Hung Yen Province) and ends at the beginning of the Luoc River overpass (in Ngu Thien Commune, Hung Yen Province), passing through localities including Thai Binh Ward, Nam Tien Hung, Tien Hung, Hong Minh, Hung Ha, Tien La and Ngu Thien communes.

According to Hung Yen Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Huu Nghia, in addition to connecting trade and reducing the distance between the province's two largest cities, Thai Binh and Pho Hien, the route is also a strategic traffic axis to create a new growth pole for socio- economic development, including the strategy to turn the Thai Binh Marine Economic Zone into the first free economic zone in the North.

Previously, in mid-August 2025, Hung Yen also started the project of connecting cultural heritage, tourism and economic development along the Red River. The project has a total investment of about 9,300 billion VND.

The project passes through 13 communes of Hung Yen province, starting at Km0+000, the border of Hung Yen province and Hanoi city at Km76+984 on DT.378 road (left dike of Red River), Phung Cong commune; ending point at about Km55+680 intersecting the left dike of Red River at Km133+500, Tan Hung commune. The total length of the route is about 55.68 km.

When completed, the project will not only complete the traffic infrastructure but also exploit the land fund along both sides of the route, connecting cultural and spiritual heritages along the Red River along the Thang Long - Pho Hien - Tam Chuc - Bai Dinh - Huong Pagoda axis.

In recent years, Hung Yen has spent tens of thousands of billions of VND in public investment capital to build key routes connecting to the national transport system in the province. The transport projects that have been implemented by the province include: Investment project to build Ring Road 4 - Hanoi Capital Region through Hung Yen; Road project connecting DT.387 with Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway (Km31+100); road construction project on the side of the road connecting Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway with Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Expressway; Tan Phuc - Vong Phan route (intersection of DT.378); Coastal road, Thai Binh - Con Vanh route; Economic Zone axis road, Southern Thai Binh belt; Ninh Binh - Hai Phong Expressway project (CT.08) through Thai Binh;...

The road route connects Hanoi - Hai Phong highway with Cau Gie - Ninh Binh highway through Hung Yen province.

The synchronous transport system has shortened geographical distances, promoted the flow of goods, human resources and services... contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.

Previously, on November 4, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province, chaired a meeting to listen to the Department of Construction report on the investment policy for the project to build the road from Pho Hien ward to Hung Ha commune and the investment project to build the DT.468 road (section from the intersection of National Highway 10 to Diem Dien port).

According to the pre-feasibility study report, the road project from Pho Hien ward to Hung Ha commune has a total length of about 12.45 km. When completed, the route will shorten the travel time between the two centers of Pho Hien ward and Thai Binh ward, forming an important trade gateway between the northern and southern regions of the province.
