Instructions on composting methods and using manure

The provincial Agricultural Extension Center has just organized a training course right on the field on methods of composting and using manure and agricultural by-products for more than 30 officials and farmer members in Xuan Lam commune (Song Cau town).

 

During the training, trainees were instructed on methods such as: preparing materials for composting, composting steps, using the appropriate composting method for actual conditions, using the correct composting method and dosage for each type of soil and crop. In addition, trainees were also instructed on techniques for processing straw after harvest and reducing chemical fertilizers; utilizing straw and agricultural waste to compost as fertilizer for crops in the form of combining theoretical guidance and practical composting of straw with trichoderma biological products... On that basis, farmer members have more useful knowledge to apply in actual agricultural production to manage and reuse waste from cultivation and livestock, contributing to environmental protection in households.
