Operational guidelines of Lam Dong Newspaper and TV

On the afternoon of August 26, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department held a meeting with relevant agencies and units on guiding the activities of Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television.

The meeting aims to implement the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee in Official Dispatch No. 305-CV/TU on guiding the activities of Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television.

At the meeting, leaders of Lam Dong Newspaper and Television reported on the contents related to the press activities of the unit after the merger, and the contents related to the granting of press operation licenses of the unit.

Accordingly, since the merger (July 1, 2025) until now, Lam Dong Newspaper and PTTH have been operating under the old licenses of the press agencies of the three old provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan , and Dak Nong.

Representatives of relevant agencies and units such as the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Party Committee Office, and the Provincial People's Committee Office discussed the guidance for the activities of Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television in the coming time.

At the meeting, Mr. Hoang Manh Thang, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, requested Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television to urgently prepare a report assessing the operation situation since the merger, clearly stating the difficulties regarding the legal basis and operating mechanism.

At the same time, develop a project for the operation of the new press agency as a basis for applying for an operating license; develop an autonomy project as a basis for funding... In addition, review licenses, study the contents specified in press products, on that basis synthesize and propose production directions, frequency, quantity, time, and scope of activities of each type in the new period.

While Lam Dong Newspaper and PTTH complete the procedures to apply for a new operating license, the unit continues to maintain its operations as before according to the Merger Project until a new license is granted.

Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Hoang Manh Thang also requested relevant agencies and units to coordinate and provide guidance on the basis of legal grounds so that Lam Dong Newspaper and PTTH can complete procedures related to granting operating licenses as soon as possible.
