Learning from Uncle Ho from the simplest things, as a soldier who fought to protect the Fatherland in many battlefields, after leaving the army, Mr. Thanh always wondered how to continue to contribute to his homeland. With the concept that his body may be disabled but his spirit is not, he actively participated in the work of the Veterans Association, so he was trusted by his comrades to be elected as the Head of the Veterans Association of Xom Lon Hamlet since 2018.
Mr. Bui Trung Thanh shared that he used to live in Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province. He and his wife have 2 children, one of whom moved to Ca Mau to start a business and then got married. Having had the opportunity to visit this land many times, he realized that the living conditions and the people of Ca Mau are gentle and kind, so he and his family chose Ly Van Lam commune, Ca Mau city as the place to start a business since 2008.
Mr. Bui Trung Thanh actively works and produces, setting an example for his children and grandchildren to follow.
Mr. Thanh believes that learning from Uncle Ho does not require anything grand, but comes from daily activities, from words to actions, from the way of treating comrades and people around. With that thought, Mr. Thanh is always exemplary in all movements, devoted to the work of the association, helping members and people with practical actions. Under the leadership of Mr. Thanh, the Veterans Association of Xom Lon hamlet has changed from an organization with many difficulties to a united and effective collective. Currently, 31/31 members of the association are no longer poor or near-poor. All members have houses from semi-basic and above. He not only cares about and encourages members to promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, actively participate in the work of building the association, helping each other develop the economy, reduce poverty, but he also proactively proposes ideas that are beneficial to members and people.
Not only stopping at association work, Mr. Thanh also actively participated and mobilized members and people to respond to new rural construction movements through the stages. When Ly Van Lam commune implemented the road expansion plan, many households were still hesitant because it would affect production land, fences, etc. Mr. Thanh persistently went to each house to explain the State's policy and analyze the long-term benefits. Therefore, people gradually agreed and donated land to build roads, helping to make the rural appearance of Ly Van Lam commune more spacious.
Mr. Thanh also encouraged the village war veterans to participate in the self-managed security team, coordinate with the police force to grasp the security and order situation, and promptly prevent acts that disrupt security and order in the locality.
In addition to the above contributions, Mr. Thanh also left a deep impression with small but meaningful actions. On every holiday and Tet, he and the members mobilized donations to give gifts to families with revolutionary contributions, contribute to the fund to build Comrades' houses, Comrades' graves... For him, taking care of his comrades and people is the most practical way to show gratitude to the Party, Uncle Ho and the previous generation.
Born into a family with a tradition of patriotism, during the resistance war, Mr. Bui Trung Thanh was honored to be awarded many medals, badges and other noble titles. Returning to peacetime life, once again, the former soldier was dedicated, responsible, and constantly learning from Uncle Ho from the simplest things. Mr. Bui Trung Thanh became a shining example in the community, loved by his comrades and leaders at all levels. His contributions have contributed to building his homeland more and more prosperous, while maintaining the people's trust in the leadership of the Party./.
