As a child, Mr. Luan was a hyperactive boy. One day, while being naughty, he accidentally touched a mine left over from the war. The explosion took away his left hand, leaving him with physical pain and psychological scars that are not easy to heal. However, that adversity did not defeat Mr. Phan Van Luan. On the contrary, it became the motivation for him to overcome difficulties, to improve his will and determination, and to conquer his fate.

When he grew up and started a family, Mr. Luan and his wife were given 7 hectares of agricultural land by their parents. Mr. Luan shared: “The first years of starting a business were a series of hard, difficult days and living in poverty. My wife and I had to work for hire to take care of family expenses.”

Despite his physical disability, Mr. Luan always strives to improve himself, using his garden to grow crops and raise livestock. After many years of hard work, he and his wife saved up to invest in expanding production.

Up to now, his family has owned 3 hectares of land combining shrimp and crab farming and single-crop rice cultivation. He actively participates in science and technology transfer classes, learns from previous farmers, thanks to which productivity is increasingly improved, economic life is increasingly stable and developed.

Although his body is not healthy, Mr. Luan has a strong will and determination, and is the pillar of the family. "I am the man of the family, I cannot sit still and watch my wife and children suffer, I try to proactively do everything within my ability, from farming to raising livestock... I can do it all," said Mr. Luan.

Not only did he escape poverty, Mr. Phan Van Luan also won the title of Good Farmer and Businessman for many consecutive years, a vivid demonstration of his will to overcome difficulties, his spirit of learning and his desire to rise up. Mr. Luan's story is a strong source of inspiration for those who are unfortunately physically disabled and are facing challenges in life./.
