Ji Chang Wook, the golden face of Korean entertainment industry

With his handsome appearance and flexible transformation ability, Ji Chang Wook is one of the most beloved actors in Korea. He started his acting career in 2006, but it was his role in “Smile Again” (2010-2011) that really made an impression on the audience. This role not only helped him win the Best Actor Award at the KBS Drama Awards, but also opened up a series of opportunities in his career afterward.

Constantly challenging himself through many genres, from action, romance to crime, Ji Chang Wook has become the top choice for male lead roles with psychological depth and strong commercial appeal. During nearly two decades of artistic activities, Ji Chang Wook owns a collection of works highly appreciated by audiences and experts.

Hallyu star Ji Chang Wook, a familiar face through hit dramas such as Healer; Empress Ki; The K2 or recently The Worst of Evil , will be attending the film festival in Vietnam for the first time as an international guest. He will participate in many sideline activities such as exchanges, seminars and red carpets, creating a space for connecting artists and young audiences.

Producer Yuji Sadai

At the same time, producer Yuji Sadai, known as the “pioneer” of Japanese cinema, will take on the role of a member of the Jury for the Vietnamese Film category. With more than 30 years of experience in art cinema, the founder of Bitters End contributed to the resounding success of Drive My Car, the 2022 Oscar-winning film for Best International Film. Yuji Sadai’s presence not only brings international film evaluation standards, but also opens up opportunities for young Vietnamese filmmakers to learn from his sophisticated editing and production thinking.

The presence of both Ji Chang Wook and Yuji Sadai at DANAFF III is a strategic move, helping to raise the stature and prestige of the young but potential film festival. This is also a clear demonstration of the effort to connect cinema, artists and audiences, local culture and the international community that DANAFF is persistently pursuing.
