Ji Chang Wook and BIBI reunite after "Horrible Crime"

Recently, the production team of the drama “Gangnam B-Side” released the first official images for the characters in the drama, played by actors Jo Woo Jin, Ji Chang Wook, Ha Yoon Kyung and Kim Hyung Seo (BIBI).

“Gangnam B-Side” is a crime action film that revolves around a demoted elite detective who returns after his friend’s daughter turns up as a missing woman in Seoul’s trendy Gangnam district. The detective will delve into a world of crime, drugs, and corruption to uncover something that threatens to topple some of the city’s wealthiest elite.

In February, the three main actors confirmed to be participating in “Gangnam B-Side” were Jo Woo Jin, Ji Chang Wook and Ha Yoon Kyung.

Jo Woo Jin will play the role of elite detective Kang Dong Woo, who was demoted overnight. As someone who never stops moving forward once he sets his sights on something, Dong Woo decides to search for information after his friend's daughter goes missing in the Gangnam area.

During this journey, Dong Woo meets Yoon Gil Ho (Ji Chang Wook) - a mysterious broker who dominates the Gangnam area. To survive, Gil Ho goes through difficult days, living in the darkest corners of the luxurious city.

Actress Ha Yun Kyung, who previously made an impression in "Wo Young Woo, Lawyer" and "Doctor's Playlist," will play junior prosecutor Min Seo Jin. She is a lowly prosecutor who graduated from a rural university and is currently working hard to get promoted because she has no connections.

“Gangnam B-Side” marks the reunion of Ji Chang Wook and Jo Woo Jin since the two actors starred together in the 2021 action thriller “Hard Hit.”

When the first batch of photos of “Gangnam B-Side” was released, a new face that caught attention was actress BIBI. Ji Chang Wook and BIBI had collaborated in the crime action film “The Worst of Evil” which aired in 2023.

In this film, Ji Chang Wook plays the role of undercover police officer Park Joon Mo. BIBI plays the role of "drug lord" Lee Hae Ryeon. Although BIBI is not the female lead, her chemistry with Ji Chang Wook has received support from the audience. Viewers are looking forward to part 2 of the film to explore more about the relationship between the couple Joon Mo - Hae Ryeon.

Before “Horror Crime” produces part 2, the audience will meet Ji Chang Wook and BIBI again in “Gangnam B-Side”. The film is expected to air in December this year on Disney+, with 8 episodes.
