On the afternoon of June 22nd, a localized traffic jam stretching for several kilometers occurred on National Highway 51 at the roundabout leading to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway due to a multi-vehicle accident and a high volume of traffic.

According to initial information, at around 4 PM on the same day, the volume of traffic on National Highway 51 increased dramatically, and at the same time, vehicles from the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway poured down, causing localized traffic congestion on this road.
At the same time, a multi-vehicle collision involving a passenger car, a bus, and a tractor-trailer occurred at the roundabout leading to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway. The accident did not cause any casualties, but it exacerbated the traffic congestion.
Furthermore, the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway section from Long Thanh bridge down to National Highway 51 is experiencing serious traffic congestion, especially in the roundabout area leading to the expressway. Vehicles moving through this area have to inch forward, wasting a lot of time.

To resolve the congestion, traffic police were present at the scene, directing traffic and regulating vehicles. At the same time, authorities also blocked vehicles from National Highway 51 onto the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway heading towards Ho Chi Minh City to alleviate the load at the roundabout.
The traffic congestion on National Highway 51 has now been resolved. However, traffic through the area remains quite heavy. Authorities advise people to choose a more suitable alternative route.
