Việt NamViệt Nam29/11/2024

In November, Cam Ranh airport served more than 121,000 international visitors - a record high compared to the same period in previous years, with the strongest increase coming from Korea and China.

Cam Ranh International Airport reported that the airport saw a record number of international visitors, reaching nearly 3.9 million arrivals and departures in 11 months, up 86% compared to 2023.

South Korea continued to lead the way with nearly 2.3 million visitors, up 57%, thanks to its attractive landscape, culture and stable flight routes. China saw impressive growth with nearly 935,000 visitors, more than three times higher than last year, thanks to the restoration of direct flights and favorable visa policies.

In addition, the growth of the markets of Kazakhstan by nearly 70%, Macau by more than 142%, and Southeast Asia also contributed significantly.

Mr. Pham Thanh Son, CEO of Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company, said that the airport served 6.5 million passengers in 2019 and is ready to increase its capacity to 8 million passengers a year. Currently, direct flights from many countries to Khanh Hoa are facilitating passengers at reasonable costs.

Khanh Hoa Not only does it have a 385 km long coastline, it is also famous for its scenic spots such as Van Phong Bay, Hon Mun Island and the floating sand road of Diep Son Island. With a system of high-class hotels, resorts and diverse tourism products, the province has welcomed more than 9 million visitors in the first 10 months of the year, far exceeding expectations.

Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen, Chairman of IPPG, assessed that Khanh Hoa has great tourism potential. The cooperation of large corporations such as China Duty Free with IPPG to open duty-free shopping locations also helps Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa attract more high-end visitors, enhancing the experience when visiting. He expects the number of Chinese visitors to Vietnam to reach tens of millions each year, contributing to the strong development of Nha Trang tourism.

These signals show that Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa is increasingly asserting its position as a leading destination in the region. To maintain growth momentum, experts say the tourism industry needs to continue improving service quality, developing new products and promoting internationally.

Cam Ranh International Airport, with its distinctive design simulating the shape of a bird's nest - the symbol of Khanh Hoa, is not only a transportation hub but also a modern cultural and service destination of the central coastal region.

Currently, Cam Ranh airport connects directly with many major markets such as Korea, China, Russia and Southeast Asian countries. This is an important gateway bringing global tourists to Nha Trang and Khanh Hoa, contributing to promoting local economic and tourism development.
