The eighth meeting of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, 12th term, was chaired by Mr. Bui Quang Huy - First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong - Permanent Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union.

According to Mr. Bui Quang Huy, this conference will focus on discussing and providing feedback on the Youth Union's work program and youth movement in 2025, the criteria for evaluating the Youth Union's work and youth movement at the provincial level in 2025, and the draft contents summarizing 15 years of implementing Resolution 25-NQ/TW and 10 years of implementing Conclusion 80-KL/TW to be submitted to the Politburo .

According to Huy, at the seventh meeting of the 12th Central Committee of the Youth Union, the Standing Committee discussed and gave opinions on the orientation of the Youth Union's work and youth movement in 2025 with the theme "Vietnamese youth proudly and confidently follow the Party," linked to major and important events in 2025.

At the conference, Mr. Huy requested delegates to provide feedback on key tasks related to the year's work theme, on key targets closely aligned with the term's objectives, on the list of 54 major activities for 2025, and on the criteria for evaluating the work of the Youth Union and youth movements at the provincial level in 2025.

"Regarding the draft set of criteria for evaluating the work of the Youth Union and youth movements at the provincial level in 2025, Mr. Huy suggested that the Standing Committee provide feedback on the scoring criteria to ensure practicality, orientation, classification, and appropriate evidence."

Regarding the draft documents summarizing 15 years of implementing Resolution 25-NQ/TW and 10 years of implementing Conclusion 80-KL/TW to be submitted to the Politburo , I request that the Standing Committee members focus their feedback on practical experiences in localities and units, especially investing in the draft conclusion of the Politburo," Huy requested.

Two key tasks

According to the report on the development of the Youth Union's work program and youth movement in 2025, there will be two key tasks.

Firstly, focus on implementing political and ideological education, organizing peak activity campaigns to commemorate major holidays and important events in 2025, especially the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam ; the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification; the 135th anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh; the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; and welcoming Party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Secondly, organize emulation movements among young people, undertaking and implementing youth projects and tasks to celebrate major national holidays and to welcome Party congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party. Continue to promote the implementation of the three breakthrough tasks of the entire Youth Union in the 2022-2027 term.
