Opening of the 12th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee

The conference focused on discussing three major groups of contents including preparations for the 14th National Party Congress; creating a political and legal basis for the goal of continuing to reform and innovate the country; and personnel work.

On the morning of July 18, the 12th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee solemnly opened in Hanoi .

At this Conference, the Central Committee focused on discussing and giving opinions on three major groups of content.

These are the group of contents on the preparation work for the 14th National Party Congress; the group of contents on creating a political and legal basis for the goal of continuing to reform and innovate the country in the coming time; and the group of contents on personnel work.

Regarding the content group on the preparation work for the 14th National Party Congress, the 14th National Party Congress Document Subcommittees have selectively and seriously absorbed the opinions and contributions of Central Committee comrades at the 11th Central Conference as well as in the draft documents; the opinions and contributions of Party members and the masses, and of a number of Party Congresses at the commune and ward levels held recently.

Regarding the group of contents creating a political and legal basis for the goal of continuing to reform and innovate the country in the coming time, the Central Committee has directed agencies under the National Assembly , the Government, the Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations to focus on removing difficulties and institutional obstacles, creating a legal corridor for national development.

Regarding the group of contents on personnel work, Party building and implementation of the Party's charter, the Central Committee will consider supplementing the planning of the Central Executive Committee, the Secretariat, and the Politburo of the 14th tenure; the direction of personnel work of the 14th Party Central Executive Committee; and review personnel work under its authority.

In his opening speech at the Conference, General Secretary To Lam stated that in order to complete a huge amount of work in a short period of time, the requirement is that each member of the Central Committee must promote a high sense of responsibility, concentrate their intelligence, discuss democratically, frankly, objectively and receptively; must put the interests of the nation and people first and foremost. Do not let any local interests, personal feelings or deference or avoidance affect the quality of policy decisions.

Each contribution at this Conference is not only meaningful to the content of the document, but also plays a role in forming our Party's strategic direction from now until 2030 and vision to 2050.

According to the program, the Conference will work until July 19, 2025.
