Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Chairman of the City Red Cross Society Bui Manh Phuc, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the City's Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee, emphasized that donating blood to save lives is a noble act, imbued with humanity and the tradition of charity of the Vietnamese people - "Love others as you love yourself". Each drop of blood donated not only saves the lives of patients but also demonstrates responsibility, love and sharing in the community. In recent years, the work of propaganda and mobilizing voluntary blood donation in the city has received close attention and direction from the Steering Committees at all levels and sectors from the city to districts. Thanks to that, the voluntary blood donation movement has gradually become a regular and continuous activity and attracted the participation of a large number of people. This contributes practically to ensuring blood sources for emergency care.
Each team competes in two parts: Propaganda Skills and Knowledge in the form of Golden Bell . The total score of the team is calculated based on the results of the Jury's scoring for both parts. In case the teams have the same score, the team with the higher score in the propaganda part will be ranked higher.
In the Propaganda Skills competition, each team has a maximum of 10 minutes to present a topic of their choice in a theatrical form such as a skit, comedy, play, opera... with a total maximum score of 60 points. The topics focus on the application of digital technology in propaganda work, mobilizing voluntary blood donation; introducing new models and solutions in this field.
The Knowledge section includes questions related to blood, voluntary blood donation, social knowledge and related regulations. Each team sends 3 members to participate, sitting according to registration numbers from 1 to 18. Contestants answer 20 questions (including 3 questions directly from the Board of Judges) by writing the answers on the board and raising them up at the command of the host. Each correct answer is worth 2 points. Contestants have 15 seconds to think and answer, not including the time spent reading the questions. The team will be scored if at least one member answers correctly; those who answer incorrectly will be eliminated and leave the stage.
After half a day of excitement, at the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize to the Blood Donation Club of Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy; 2 Second Prizes to the Humanitarian Blood Donation Club of Vietnam Maritime University and the Vietnamese Heart Volunteer Club; 3 Third Prizes to the Blood Donation Propaganda Club of Hai Phong University, the Hoa Phuong Blood Donation Volunteer Club and the Rare Blood Group Club (Rh-).

At the same time, the contest is also an opportunity to encourage members to promote the spirit of initiative and volunteerism in propaganda and blood donation mobilization work in localities, units and schools in the city. Thereby, contributing to spreading the voluntary blood donation movement widely in the community, aiming to ensure enough blood supply for emergency and treatment services and affirming Hai Phong as a locality with a strong voluntary blood donation movement, always fulfilling the targets assigned by the Central Government every year.
