The opening ceremony of the Vietnam Cultural Days in Russia (July 1-7) took place on the evening of July 2 at the Zaryadie Concert Hall, Moscow, Russia. This is a series of art performances, exhibitions, film screenings, programs introducing Vietnamese tourism ..., and is also one of the first events to implement the Joint Statement on further deepening Vietnam-Russia relations during the state visit to Vietnam on June 20, 2024 by Russian President Putin.

Exhibition booth about Vietnamese heritage

Ms. Valentina Matvyenko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council, Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation sent a congratulatory letter to the Vietnamese Cultural Days in Russia in 2024. In the letter, Ms. Valentina Matvyenko affirmed that the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Russia is linked together by a long-standing tradition of friendship. Cultural and humanistic cooperation, including the fields of cinema, museums, circus arts, theater, etc., plays a particularly important role in the traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized Vietnam's fine cultural tradition in its friendly relations with the Russian Federation, always considering "an old friend is better than two new friends" and "as long as the earth still rotates, the heart still beats, we will still be friends". Meanwhile, Russian Minister of Culture Olga Liubimova affirmed that cultural cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation has a long history and is increasingly developing positively and effectively. Proof of this is the fact that the two sides have successfully organized the Vietnam Year in Russia and the Russia Year in Vietnam.

People's Artist Bui Cong Duy performs in Russia

After the opening ceremony of the Vietnamese Cultural Days in Russia, there was an art program with the participation of people's artists, meritorious artists, doctors, masters, music lecturers..., including many artists who studied at prestigious music training institutions in the Russian Federation such as People's Artist Bui Cong Duy, Associate Professor - Doctor Nguyen Huy Phuong, Doctor Nguyen Khac Hoa... This brought an impressive academic art space, thereby helping the public feel the similarities and the intersection of the two cultures of Vietnam and Russia.

With a capacity of over 1,500 seats, the Zaryadie Concert Hall was full. In front of the hall was the exhibition space "Vietnam - The Land of Cultural Heritage". It displayed images of Vietnam's heritage recognized by UNESCO.
