The exhibition is jointly organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, the Liaison Committee of former patriotic prisoners of Da Lat Children's Prison and the People's Committee of Hoi An city to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, a representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province said that during the resistance war against the US to save the country, in the South, many children bravely and intelligently participated in communication, reporting, transporting documents, grasping the enemy situation and even directly fighting on many fronts.

Many young revolutionary soldiers, including many comrades in Quang Nam - Da Nang, were unfortunately imprisoned in many enemy prisons in the South. During the period of 1971 - 1973, the enemy sent them to Da Lat Children's Prison.

Also from here, the loyal and heroic spirit of patriotic child prisoners continued to be promoted, creating heroic examples with shocking events from the struggles against saluting the enemy flag, hunger strikes, fighting to destroy prison guards, escaping from prison, rising up to take control of the prison...

That heroic history has been, is, and will be vividly reflected through documents, artifacts, and historical stories at the National Monument of Da Lat Children's Prison - a red address in the flower city of Lam Dong province.

According to the exhibition organizers, with the spirit of the past connecting the future, preserving cultural and historical values ​​associated with promoting contemporary values ​​and creating exchanges and friendships between the lands of Quang Nam - Da Nang - Lam Dong, Lam Dong Museum has selected, designed and constructed an exhibition of 200 images and artifacts with the theme "Da Lat Children's Prison National Monument - Red Address in the City of Flowers" at Hoi An Prison relic.

The exhibition not only demonstrates its scale and aesthetic value, but also clearly and vividly reflects the heroic historical stories of the struggles of former patriotic child prisoners at Da Lat Children's Prison, including former patriotic child prisoners in Quang Nam - Da Nang.

At this exhibition, Lam Dong Museum also introduced the tangible and intangible cultural heritage values, which are important tourism resources crystallized from the good land of Da Lat, so that a large number of viewers and visitors can have a deeper understanding of the highland city full of flowers and warm humanity.

Besides, many research works on the topic of "Unified Country" are books about the Party, Uncle Ho, documents about the resistance war against America to save the country are solemnly introduced.

On this occasion, the organizers and former prisoners of Da Lat Children's Prison also presented many gifts to former prisoners in difficult circumstances and gave money to mourn deceased comrades in the Quang Nam - Da Nang area.
