Sharing at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai, Head of the Collection Research Department - Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, said that through the painting exhibition "Pride of the Nation", the Organizing Committee wishes to bring to the public a loving look at the beautiful and friendly country and people of Vietnam. She emphasized: "Here, we will encounter images and innocent smiles of children, the joy in daily working life in many professions, portrayed by artists with sincere emotions and artistic creativity". At the same time, she also said that the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam is not only a place to honor the tradition of studiousness and respect for teachers, but today it has also become a creative space, a place to accompany young artists in spreading cultural and artistic values to the public.

Representing the young artists participating in the exhibition, artist Hong Hoa, author of the work “Mother’s Embroidery Frame” (inspired by her mother’s sewing job), expressed her emotion when her painting was selected to be introduced and displayed. The artist said that, for her, each painting is a story associated with love for her homeland, pride in independence, peace and nation. “Through my work, I hope to contribute to spreading patriotism to more people, more places,” the artist shared.

The exhibition introduces 40 works by 39 artists from many regions across the country, expressing pride in the history, culture and people of Vietnam. Each work carries its own story, depicting simple childhood memories, familiar images in work and daily life, and at the same time reflecting the cultural diversity and customs of the regions.

Through the language of painting, the authors have expressed their deep feelings for their homeland and country, contributing to spreading love for the Fatherland to the public, especially the youth.

The series of works form a visual space where memories, present and aspirations intersect. In each stroke is the love for homeland and country, gratitude for previous generations and belief in a bright future that the younger generation continues to preserve and promote.

According to the Organizing Committee, the event not only brings new artistic experiences, but also contributes to spreading historical stories and cultural values that transcend geographical space and generational gaps, so that art becomes a bridge to exchange and connect the community. This is also an opportunity for contemporary art to get closer to the public, evoking national pride in everyday life.

The exhibition “Pride of the Nation” opens to visitors from September 21-30, 2025.
