Opening of FPT representative office and R&D Center in Da Nang

DNO - On September 15, FPT Information System Company (FPT IS, a member of FPT Group) opened a representative office and R&D Center at Massda Industrial Park (Son Tra district).

Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh acknowledged that over the past 20 years, FPT Corporation has created more than 6,000 jobs, contributed up to 70% of the city's software export turnover, trained 17,500 local students and invested in building FPT Technology Urban Area, software park and school system at all levels.

"Da Nang City is always committed to creating the most favorable conditions and environment for businesses, continuing to develop and recommend to the Central Government to supplement mechanisms and policies to encourage investment, especially conditions for forming financial centers; innovation and start-up centers; research and development centers. At the same time, research mechanisms, policies and support for investment in the fields of high technology, information technology industry, digital transformation, supporting industries, forming high-class commercial centers and entertainment areas, with socialization mechanisms to attract and facilitate investors," said Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh.

FPT IS R&D Center aims to have 500 employees in the next 3 years to develop products with 15 new product groups; incubate new technology products to form products to meet domestic and international markets.

It is known that FPT IS has a 30-year journey of contributing to the development of the Vietnamese economy . Experience gained through digital transformation projects with the country and customers in many key areas is the foundation for FPT IS to quickly take advantage of digital economic opportunities. In particular, the establishment of an office and R&D Center in Da Nang is part of the company's orientation to shift from a project business model to product development and platform business.
