Within just a few hours of the natural disaster in Than Uyen district, the 35kV line 376E29.2 had an incident at three locations. Power poles 124 and 125 were completely knocked down, and pole 137 had a broken lightning arrester, causing 59 transformer stations to lose power, affecting more than 5,000 customers. In addition, the 35kV lines 371 and 374E29.2, an important double-circuit line, were also damaged at two locations. Pole 130 was broken, and pole 151.1 had broken porcelain due to a fallen tree, causing 27 transformer stations to stop operating, affecting 1,461 customers in the surrounding area.
Immediately after the disaster, Than Uyen District Power Company urgently mobilized maximum human resources, equipment, vehicles, organized inspections, isolated the incident area and deployed emergency power supply measures. Separation, connection, and loop power supply plans were activated to restore the power system as quickly as possible. By 6:00 p.m. on May 11, all transformer stations and more than 6,000 affected customers had been safely and stably supplied with power.

In addition to restoring transformer stations, we are currently continuing to check each household with broken or unsafe power lines, to ensure absolute electrical safety for the people."

In La 2 village, Muong Kim commune, one of the areas directly affected by the storm on the night of May 10, people were deeply moved by the spirit of working day and night of the power workers. Mr. Lo Van Trien - Head of La 2 village shared: "That night, hail and severe storms caused a high-voltage power pole to break down near the village, everyone was confused because of the power outage in the middle of the night. But the power staff arrived early to fix the problem, re-erect the pole, and reconnect the wires. By the next evening, the power was restored, and the village's life was stable. We were very reassured and thank the power staff very much."

In addition, continue to strengthen inspection and review of pole locations and line corridors at risk of being unsafe.
