Survey and assessment of two typical tourist destinations in the Mekong Delta in the province

The survey team of "Typical tourist destinations of the Mekong Delta" led by Mr. Tran Viet Phuong - Chairman of the Mekong Delta Tourism Association has just come to Tra Vinh Wax Coconut Museum and Somo Farm Cuu Long tourist site to survey and evaluate "Typical tourist destinations of the Mekong Delta 2025".

Tra Vinh Wax Coconut Museum belongs to Cau Ke Wax Coconut Processing Company Limited (VICOSAP), located in Tam Ngai commune, inaugurated on December 13, 2024, is not only a place to display artifacts, but also a place to preserve the origin of wax coconut and spread indigenous cultural values with love for the homeland, pride in indigenous resources and the aspiration to bring wax coconut to the world .

Currently, the museum collects and displays many valuable artifacts, such as: Image of Monk Thach So (1886-1949), the temple of the founder of wax coconut, who brought the seeds and planted the first wax coconut tree in 1924; agricultural tools of the wet rice civilization; space for souvenir products of the wax coconut homeland and specialty products with the flavor of Tra Vinh wax coconut; a movie screening area for visitors to learn about the origin of Tra Vinh wax coconut...

Somo Farm Cuu Long (Cai Nhum commune) is an eco-tourism area with a cool green fruit garden.

Currently, there are tourism services here: accommodation, meetings, restaurants, cafes, experiences of catching fish in ditches, experiences of traditional Southern cakes, clay molding at brick kilns, organic vegetable growing, experiences of making pancakes and cooking Western specialties... In 2024, Somo Farm Cuu Long was voted as an "Attractive tourist destination" in "50 attractive tourist destinations in Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta".

The survey team assessed two tourist spots that meet the conditions and criteria of "Typical tourist spots of the Mekong Delta". The team will report and submit to the council for voting and recognition in the coming time.
