Comrade Lam Huu Phuc, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, gave an introductory speech and pointed out the highlights of Tra Vinh tourism.
Before the seminar was held at Nam Son Tourist Area (An Phu Tan Commune, Cau Ke District), the Organizing Committee arranged for delegates and press agencies to directly survey tourist attractions in Cau Ke District such as: Wax Coconut Museum (Thanh Phu Commune); Memorial area for female hero and martyr Nguyen Thi Ut (Tam Ngai Commune); Cho Pagoda; Architectural and artistic relic of Huynh Ky Ancient House and Vu Lan Thang Hoi Festival at Van Nien Phong Cung Pagoda (in the same area of Cau Ke Town).
Delegates attended a field survey seminar at the Memorial Site of Heroine and Martyr Nguyen Thi Ut.
Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Duong Hoang Sum, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tra Vinh, said that Tra Vinh province is considered to have great tourism potential. In which, cultural tourism is one of the products that is different from other provinces in the Mekong Delta region with many communal houses, pagodas, churches and traditional festivals, typically 143 Khmer pagodas with ancient architecture and festivals taking place all year round such as: Nghinh Ong Festival, Vu Lan Thang Hoi Festival, Ok Om Bok Festival, Nguyen Tieu Festival and many tangible and intangible cultural heritages...
Cau Ke district is located in the Northwest, 39km from the center of Tra Vinh province on the left bank of Hau River. With advantages in natural conditions, favorable geographical location, National Highway 54 passing through and a heroic historical tradition, multi-ethnic and multi-religious cultural identity... creating favorable conditions for the district to become an important traffic hub, contributing to promoting political, economic, cultural and social development.
Cau Ke is one of the three tourist centers of the province with many typical types of tourism such as: Eco-tourism, spiritual tourism, traditional tourism, cultural tourism through festivals, historical revolutionary relics, typically the Memorial Area of Heroine and Martyr Nguyen Thi Ut, a traditional patriotic education address for tours to the source.

Comrade Duong Hoang Sum emphasized that Tra Vinh pays great attention to linking with provinces and cities across the country to link and cooperate in tourism development, and at the same time commits to creating the most favorable conditions for investors and travel businesses to explore investment opportunities and bring tourists to Tra Vinh province in general and Cau Ke district in particular.
At the seminar, delegates and travel businesses exchanged, discussed and contributed many ideas to help Tra Vinh tourism in general and Cau Ke district tourism in particular develop better in the coming time.
Mr. Tran Thanh Nghi, Director of Ben Thanh Tourism Joint Stock Company, Can Tho city suggested development orientations for Cau Ke tourism and Tra Vinh tourism .
Ms. Le Thi Minh Thy, Director of Vietravel Tourism Service Company, Can Tho City branch, spoke highly of Tra Vinh's tourism potential.
