Groundbreaking ceremony of a project to help ethnic minority students mobilized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City

The project to improve the quality of living and studying at the Ia Grai District Ethnic Boarding Secondary School (Gia Lai Province), mobilized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, has officially started.

On the afternoon of May 28, the board of directors of the Ia Grai District Ethnic Boarding Secondary School, Gia Lai Province, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a project to improve the quality of life and learning at the school. The construction funding was mobilized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

This is one of the activities within the framework of the journey back to the source , following the footsteps of the General Offensive and Uprising in the spring of 1975.

Attending the ceremony were Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Tho Truyen (head of the working delegation), Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee Pham Thi To Hai, Secretary of Ia Grai District Party Committee Tong Thoi Moc...

Nguyen Quang Tuong, Principal of Ia Grai District Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, said that the Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities is a specialized school, with 100% of the students being children of ethnic minorities.

This is also the only boarding school in Ia Grai district, students are recruited from 12 communes and towns of Ia Grai district. Every year, there are 150 students studying here.

With the attention of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the Ethnic Boarding Secondary School achieved its goal of building a concrete road from the cultural boarding village to the boarding area where students eat, live and do daily activities.

According to the school, after the project is completed, it will serve as a model for teaching and raising awareness of the Road Traffic Safety Law for students, especially ethnic minority students in boarding schools. At the same time, the project will create a cleaner road for travel.

"The school will effectively deploy the funding that the delegation has provided. I myself promise to make the most of the model in teaching traffic safety to students," Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuong pledged.
