The Comrades House was built for the family of professional military Lieutenant Y Thuy Bkrong, a reconnaissance officer, Border Reconnaissance Team, Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard. Y Thuy Bkrong's family is in difficult circumstances, has no house, and is raising two children, the second of whom has cerebral palsy and must be treated regularly in the hospital. The whole family lives with their parents in a house that has been built for many years and is seriously degraded.
The new house was built on an area of about 100 m2 , with a total cost of more than 250 million VND. Of which, Phuoc Tan Tay Nguyen Company Limited supported 50 million VND, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, Dak Lak branch supported 50 million VND, the remaining amount was supported by family, friends and relatives.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tung, Head of the Border Reconnaissance Team of Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard, said that after more than 10 years of working in the force, despite difficult family conditions, Y Thuy Bkrong himself always tried to overcome them, felt secure in his work, was ready to receive and complete assigned tasks well; actively carried out the political tasks of the unit, especially the task of managing and protecting the border and implementing the unit's emulation movements to win.
Since the beginning of 2024, the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard has coordinated to build 12 houses for poor families with difficult housing conditions. Of which, there are 2 Comrades' houses. Thereby, contributing to encouraging and sharing the difficulties of soldiers and people in the border areas; helping families gradually stabilize their lives, work with peace of mind and develop the economy.
This is also one of the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day.
