Groundbreaking ceremony for Road 21, Tien Thanh Ward

Dong Xoai City Belt Road connects Tien Thanh, Tan Binh, Tan Dong, Tan Xuan wards and Tan Thanh commune. The length passing through Tien Thanh ward is about 3.3km, 32m wide. The total area to be cleared is 9.74ha, including 189 plots of land of 174 households affected.

Pursuant to Decision No. 813/QD-UBND dated May 5, 2022 of the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province on approving the project of constructing the Dong Xoai city belt road from Dong Xoai Industrial Park I to Phu Rieng Do Street, up to now, Tien Thanh Ward People's Committee has mobilized 62 households (70 plots of land) to agree to donate land with a total area of 51,800m2, length 2,360/3,300m. The Ward People's Committee is continuing to mobilize the remaining households.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, the Ward People's Committee announced the results of the land donation campaign and awarded certificates of merit to outstanding households.

Outstanding households in the movement "City work, village work, even golden land is donated" were awarded certificates of merit by the leaders of Tien Thanh ward.

Ms. Phan Thi Van, Quarter 5, Tien Thanh Ward, one of the households donating land, said: "The province's policy of determination to build this road has been highly agreed and responded by the people. Because having a big road will facilitate traffic conditions, the economy, culture, and society of the town and ward will develop, and my family will also benefit."

After the groundbreaking ceremony, households proactively cut rubber trees to hand over the site to the contractor for leveling.

Sharing the same opinion, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le, Ward 2, Tien Thanh Ward said: “When we learned that this 32m road would pass through our land, my younger brother and I were ready to donate land for the road. Because there is still enough land behind our house for business, even though the total area that both of us have to donate is 1,000 square meters, we volunteered and did not ask for compensation.”

Mr. Hoang Van Kiem, Quarter 1, Tien Thanh Ward, Dong Xoai City enthusiastically shared: "I am imagining that when the road opens, the local economy will develop rapidly. Now that the ward is holding a groundbreaking ceremony to level the ground, my family is hiring workers to cut rubber trees immediately so that other people can follow quickly so that the contractor can keep up with the progress."

Wherever people hand over land, contractors level the ground there.

Chairman of Tien Thanh Ward People's Committee Le Thanh Hoan said: "Implementing the movement of "City work, village work, golden land also donated", in 2023, Dong Xoai City People's Committee assigned the target to Tien Thanh Ward People's Committee to mobilize people to deploy 7 planned routes. Up to now, we have started leveling the ground for 2 routes, Road No. 34 and Road No. 21. Route No. 34 has a total length of 1.8km, the ward has mobilized 1.4km and this route has mobilized 2.3km. The city's policy is that after completing the work of mobilizing people to hand over the site, the state will continue to implement the initial steps to invest in road construction. We are making efforts to implement and have also received great consensus from the people".
