Hanh Lam commune is a commune in a difficult area, has been expanded in terms of administrative boundaries, bordering Bolikhamxay province of Laos to the west, is one of the border areas with an important position in terms of security and national defense.
Here, the socio- economic conditions and people's lives are still difficult, the facilities and learning conditions of students are still lacking, and the need for boarding students is high.
The investment in building a boarding school for primary and secondary levels in Hanh Lam commune will ensure that children in border areas and post-merger areas have the opportunity to study continuously from primary to secondary school; thereby reducing the dropout rate due to long distance, weather and family conditions.
At the same time, create conditions for comprehensive education , nurturing, career orientation, preserving local cultural identity, contributing to maintaining stability in border areas, and enhancing deep and broad integration.
This is a project of profound humanistic significance, demonstrating strategic vision and at the same time being a concrete demonstration of the deep concern of the Party and State for the cause of education and training, especially in mountainous, highland and border areas with the mission of guarding the border.
In order for the project to be completed soon, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Le Hong Vinh, requested that local Party committees and authorities at all levels take strong action, considering this an important political task, associated with the responsibility of the leader. Localities must proactively coordinate closely, create the most favorable conditions for site clearance, arrange land funds, resources and support construction units, ensuring progress, quality and absolute safety during the implementation process.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the investor, design, construction and supervision units to work with all their enthusiasm, responsibility and professional ethics, considering this not just an ordinary construction project, but a project of faith, of dreams and of the future.
The policy of building schools in border communes is implemented according to the Conclusion Notice No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025 of the Politburo. Thereby, it aims to create conditions for students in remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas to have more opportunities to study, develop comprehensively and ensure absolute safety.
According to the roadmap, Nghe An province has 10 inter-level boarding schools approved in principle and started construction in 2025, including 2 schools in the communes of Keng Du and Bac Ly, with a scale of about 27 classes, 1,000 students, and a total investment of about 200 billion VND; the remaining 8 schools have a scale of 30 classes or more, with a total investment of 200 billion VND.
This morning, along with Hanh Lam Primary and Secondary Boarding School, Nghe An province also simultaneously started construction on 8 border schools in the communes of Keng Du, Na Ngoi, Nhon Mai, Bac Ly, Mon Son, Que Phong, Tam Thai, Anh Son, and Tri Le.
On this occasion, to encourage and motivate students, Nghe An province presented 30 gifts to primary and secondary school students of Hanh Lam who have difficult circumstances and have made great achievements in their studies.
