Arousing the spirit of environmental action in the whole society

On the morning of September 20, in Mui Ne ward (Lam Dong province), the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Mui Ne ward and sponsors to organize the program "Let's clean up the sea" in response to the World Clean Up Day campaign on September 20.

The program "Let's clean the sea" aims to spread the message of joining hands to protect the marine environment to the community and tourists .

Nearly 100 members, youth, volunteers and a large number of residents and tourists collected trash and cleaned nearly 1 km along the coast of Ham Tien 3, Mui Ne Ward. The highlight of the program was the activity "Exchanging trash for trees".

Here, many people brought cans, bottles, plastic waste... to the points to exchange for trees. More than 100 trees were exchanged on the morning of September 20.

Nearly 100 union members, youth and volunteers collected trash along the beach in Ham Tien 3 neighborhood, Mui Ne ward.

Mr. Nguyen Tran Kin, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Mui Ne Ward, said that recently, although the functional sector and locality have conducted regular cleaning, the situation of garbage in beach areas, especially ocean garbage, still appears.

The program “Let’s clean the sea” with activities such as exchanging trash for trees, cleaning up… has an important meaning in raising awareness among the community and tourists about environmental protection, encouraging waste classification, reducing plastic waste and creating green spaces.

This activity spreads a green - clean - beautiful lifestyle, educates children about environmental protection from an early age and contributes to creating a sustainable living environment for the future.

In Lam Dong, recently, the awareness of environmental protection has been growing stronger, clearly demonstrated through a series of clean-up activities launched. From localities, state agencies, youth organizations, to businesses and volunteer groups, all join hands to contribute to cleaning up living spaces, raising public awareness of the responsibility to preserve a green, clean and beautiful environment.
