Voting for the 28th Green Wave Awards has begun.

Following 27 successful seasons, the Green Wave 2025 – the oldest and most prestigious music award organized by the People's Voice of Ho Chi Minh City Radio Station, now Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station (HTV) – officially launches its 28th season.

The 28th Green Wave has the theme "Descendants of the Dragon and the Immortal," embodying a spirit of pride to connect and spread Vietnamese national identity.

The organizers have announced the summary of achievements of songs that have appeared on the weekly charts throughout the past year. Accordingly, 2025 saw a total of 106 songs eligible for voting, calculated from the list of songs that began appearing on the Green Wave chart from December 13, 2024 to December 12, 2025.

Notably, the 2025 Green Wave Awards marked a record milestone, unprecedented only in the early years of the awards, when the song "Bac Bling" (Tuan Cry - Hoa Minzy ft. People's Artist Xuan Hinh) achieved 41 weeks in the Top 10, including 13 weeks at No. 1.

Other notable products that spent many weeks at the Top 1 position include: "Frog at the Bottom of the Well" (Em xinh say hi) by Phuong My Chi with 7 weeks at Top 1; " Miracle" (soundtrack from the movie "Wooden Fish ") by MAYDAYs and Minh Toc with 6 weeks; and "Why Does First Love Hurt So Much? " by MIN feat. Dangrangto & Antransax with 5 weeks.

In addition, the 2025 Green Wave chart also recorded a strong wave of songs with homeland and country themes such as "Made In Vietnam , " "The Pain in Peace ," " My House Has a Flag Hanging ," " What Could Be More Beautiful? "... Notably, the song "Continuing the Story of Peace" made a strong impression by becoming the song with the most versions appearing on the chart, with three versions from Nguyen Duyen Quynh, Dong Hung - Vo Ha Tram, and Tung Duong.

In the music reality TV category, "Em xinh say hi" (You're Beautiful, Say Hi ) is the program with the most songs charting on the Green Wave 2025, with a total of 17 songs.

The 2025 Green Wave Awards will present 16 award categories, following tradition. A notable highlight is the return of the "Favorite Soundtrack Song" category after several years of absence due to insufficient nominations, promising to add more color and diversity to this year's awards.

The only category voted on by fans is "Favorite Male/Female Singer/Rapper". Voting will begin at 7 PM on December 17, 2025, at the voting portal lansongxanh1vote.com.vn. From the list of male/female artists whose songs are on the weekly charts, fans will vote to find the Top 10, Top 5, and the final results will be announced at the awards ceremony, tentatively scheduled for January 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City.
