This year, the Mai Vang Award will expand to three major cities: Hanoi , Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, with a nomination round held from September 15 to November 25. Readers can participate in the nomination through the online newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong (nld.com.vn) and the official website of the Mai Vang Award (maivang.nld.com.vn).

This year's program includes 14 categories spanning the fields of music , theater, cinema and television:
Music: Categories include Male singer - rapper, Female singer, Favorite song and MV.
Stage: Includes Stage Actor, Stage Actress, Comedian and Favorite Stage Play.
Cinema - Television: Including most favorite Actors, Actresses, Movies and TV Series.
Program: Most Favorite MC and Most Favorite TV Show - Digital Platform.
The voting round will take place from December 4, 2024 to January 3, 2025. The organizing committee will rely on the number of votes from readers and the voting results of the Arts Council to determine the top 5 candidates.
The final result will be announced based on consensus between the two parties. In case of major differences, the Organizing Committee will consult the Steering Committee and the Art Council.
In particular, the 2024 Mai Vang Awards also present special awards including Artist for the Community and Outstanding Cultural and Artistic Works, to honor meaningful contributions and outstanding works of the year.
The most favorite song category belongs to the song "Cut in half the sadness" composed and performed by Tang Duy Tan.
The Award Ceremony and Gala celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Mai Vang Award will take place on the evening of January 8, 2025 at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater. The event will be broadcast live on VTV9 and reported online on the platforms of the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.
This will be a colorful and emotional art festival, bringing moments of honoring art and outstanding talents of 2024.
