On the afternoon of May 29, the Ho Chi Minh City Command held a ceremony to send off the Southern female guerrilla group of officers and soldiers to participate in the parade in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Thanh Nghi, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Thanh Trung, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Major General Vu Van Dien, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Military Party Committee, Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Command; Major General Tran Van Trai, Deputy Commander, Head of the working delegation.

In 2025, after the task of training the command group of female guerrillas from the South to participate in the parade and march in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country; Ho Chi Minh City Command continued to be trusted by the Command of Military Region 7 to select, manage, and train the command group of female guerrillas from the South to participate in the parade and march in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Identifying this as one of the key political tasks, an honor and pride but also a great responsibility for the city's armed forces; the Party Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City Command have thoroughly grasped the task, carefully prepared all aspects of force selection and training according to the assigned tasks.



Accordingly, the Southern Female Guerrilla Bloc has a total of 188 soldiers, organized into 2 phases of training. Phase 1 took place from May 5 to June 3 at the Ho Chi Minh City Command. Up to now, the soldiers have basically met the requirements, and are practicing coordination in 2-5 rows, keeping distance, steps and horizontal lines stable according to the lines.
The Ho Chi Minh City Command also organized propaganda andeducation on the significance, stature and historical value of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. In particular, it educated the contingent of officers, professional soldiers and female militia to understand the purpose, significance and importance of training and participating in parades and marches, thereby raising awareness and responsibility, overcoming difficulties and completing assigned tasks well.
It is expected that on June 4, the Southern female guerilla bloc will travel by train from Saigon station to National Military Training Center 4 to enter the second training phase.
In his speech of encouragement and assignment, Major General Vu Van Dien, Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, said that the members of the Southern Female Guerrilla Bloc participating in the parade and marching were all excellent party members and union members, selected from localities and units of the Ho Chi Minh City armed forces; representing the typical young generation of Ho Chi Minh City, brave, dynamic, loyal and responsible, worthy of being the generation inheriting the tradition of the Southern female guerrillas of the past.

“Participating in the parade is a great honor and also a special political task; it demonstrates the trust and expectations that the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City place on today's young generation. At the same time, it is also a message to friends at home and abroad that the heroic tradition of the Vietnamese people, especially of Vietnamese women, is still being preserved and continued by the young generation,” Major General Vu Van Dien affirmed.

In the coming time, Major General Vu Van Dien requested the Southern Female Guerrilla Bloc Command to continue to organize and direct scientific training, closely coordinate with other forces, and ensure absolute safety for people and weapons. Female soldiers need to seriously train, maintain discipline, solidarity, learn modestly, and demonstrate the style and standards of a beautiful image of women in the city named after Uncle Ho, both graceful and steadfast. At the same time, relevant agencies and units of the city continue to coordinate, monitor, and provide full support both materially and spiritually so that the Southern Female Guerrilla Bloc can work with peace of mind and focus on completing the assigned tasks excellently.


At the ceremony, militia soldier Le Thao Ngan (Phu Nhuan District Military Command) on behalf of the Southern female guerrillas promised to strictly follow the military discipline of the unit, the training plan of the Organizing Committee and the training instructors, especially during the time participating in training at the National Military Training Center 4 and performing official duties in Hanoi. In addition, always promote the spirit of responsibility, effort; solidarity, mutual assistance in the process of performing tasks, contributing to the success of the celebration.
