On the evening of August 6, according to a source from Thanh Nien reporter, the Department of Home Affairs of Ca Mau held a review meeting to clarify the responsibilities of individuals according to Inspection Conclusion No. 325/KL-TT, dated February 10, 2023 of the Government Inspectorate and no disciplinary action was taken in this review meeting.
Accordingly, the meeting aims to review and clarify the causes and responsibilities of 2 deputy chief inspectors of the province; 2 former chief inspectors of the province and 1 former deputy chief inspector of the province through different periods (2015 - 2019) related to the limitations and shortcomings according to Inspection Conclusion No. 325/KL-TT, dated February 10, 2023 of the Government Inspectorate.
No disciplinary action against 5 officials who are leaders and former leaders of the Ca Mau Provincial Inspectorate for shortcomings according to the conclusion of the Government Inspectorate.
According to the conclusion of the Government Inspectorate, the Inspectorate of Ca Mau province has shortcomings in the institutionalization of legal documents, issuance of directive and administrative documents such as: not issuing documents guiding the work of receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations and documents guiding the work of preventing and combating corruption.
Regarding inspection work, in 2016, there was a delay in guiding district-level inspectors and provincial departments and branches to develop inspection plans; there was one inspection plan that was not built and approved on time...
Regarding the work of receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations, the chief inspector's periodic reception of citizens was not adequate according to regulations; in 2/5 cases, the complainant did not participate in the dialogue with the right people; 4/5 reports on the results of complaint verification were delayed compared to the decision to assign verification...
The Government Inspectorate pointed out that, regarding anti-corruption, the Ca Mau Provincial Inspectorate has not developed a plan to transfer work positions according to regulations (2015 - 2017); has not fully implemented the transfer of work positions (2015 - 2018)...
According to the source, the voting results at the meeting of the Department of Home Affairs of Ca Mau had 100% of the votes unanimously agreeing that there should be no disciplinary action against the above 5 individuals. The reason is that the shortcomings during the management process were mainly professional work, not intentional violations of regulations, and did not cause damage to the organization or individuals.
