Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Tan Dung, former member of the Politburo, former Prime Minister; General Le Hong Anh, former member of the Politburo, former Standing member of the Secretariat, former Minister of Public Security ; Senior Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Deputy Minister of Public Security, Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Minh Tuan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine... and comrades who are leaders of central departments, ministries, branches; representatives of the leadership of the National Political Publishing House Truth and the People's Police University.
Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House Truth and Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Do Anh Tuan, Party Committee Secretary, Principal of the People's Police University chaired the conference.
The signing of the Coordination Regulations between the Truth National Political Publishing House and the People's Police University is an important step, creating the basis and motivation to promote the strengths of each side, in order to contribute to the effective implementation of Directive No. 44-CT/TW, dated April 16, 2020 of the Party Central Committee Secretariat on innovation, improving the quality and effectiveness of publishing, distributing and researching, studying theoretical and political books and Coordination Regulation No. 05/QCPH, dated October 26, 2023, performing the task of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety between the Truth National Political Publishing House and the Ministry of Public Security.
Based on the functions and tasks of the two agencies, the Regulations on coordination of work between the National Political Publishing House Truth and the People's Police University include six main contents:
- Coordinate scientific research, seminars, and discussions to propose policies and solutions to effectively implement security and order protection work and build the People's Public Security force.
- Coordinate the appraisal, compilation, publication and distribution of books and documents to propagate scientific research results, promote publications of the Ministry of Public Security, the People's Police University and the National Political Publishing House Truth; spread and replicate advanced models, good people and good deeds in protecting security and order.
- Coordinate propaganda to protect the Party's ideological foundation, fight and refute erroneous and hostile viewpoints; orient ideology, raise vigilance against plots and tricks to sabotage ideology of hostile forces.
- Coordinate well the implementation of mass mobilization work, propaganda of the Party and State's guidelines and policies to improve people's political awareness and level; cultural, artistic, physical education and sports exchanges.
- Coordinate in training and fostering staff, lecturers and students.
- Coordinate in transferring and applying the results of scientific and technological research activities.
At the Conference, former Party and State leaders presented books to the People's Police University; the Truth National Political Publishing House presented the People's Police University with the electronic bookcase "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" along with a number of typical publications of the Publishing House.
